Lauren Froese is a queer event producer, artist, creative director, and community organizer based on Treaty 6 territory in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She is the co-producer of Sapphic Saturdays and the founder of Feel Better Productions, a queer-led production company focused on producing, coordinating, and designing community-centred events.
Lauren has nearly a decade of experience working in live events, arts, and nightlife, including ten years living and working in Toronto’s Church-Wellesley Village. Her work spans large-scale themed events for 250–350 attendees, ticketed theatre nights, festivals, workshops, trivia series, and community activations. She has overseen full-cycle production including concept development, budgeting, vendor and artist coordination, marketing and graphic design, ticketing, accessibility planning, and on-site management.
Notable projects include Sapphic Saturdays (bi-monthly large-scale events), Sapphic Skate (in partnership with Winterruption), Drag Lunches, Learn to Line Dance workshop series, and closed queer theatre nights featuring post-show talkbacks. Lauren regularly collaborates with queer-owned businesses, performers, and community organizations across Saskatchewan to ensure events reflect diverse identities, body types, and lived experiences.
Lauren has a background in education and creative studies, which informs her facilitation style, inclusive programming, and commitment to skill-building and community learning. Her practice prioritizes trans inclusion, equitable representation, and the development of sustainable queer cultural infrastructure.
